Roles We're Recruiting For

If you think you're suitable, we'd love to hear from you. The full role description is on the page below.

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)
Full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday. A Level 3 qualified practitioner working across our baby, toddler and preschool rooms as part of the Key Person system, with a clear progression pathway and mentoring built in from day one.
Why Work Here

A Team That Feels Like a Team

Handprints is small enough that everyone knows everyone; grown-ups included. We invest in our people, we back our practitioners, and we do it in a genuinely calm, well-organised environment. If you've worked somewhere that felt like a production line, this won't.

£500 signing bonus

A £500 signing bonus for practitioners joining our team, paid on successful completion of your probation period. One more reason to make the move to Handprints.

Real training, not tick-box

Full induction, one-to-one mentoring from senior staff, and access to our online training platform for Level 2, Level 3 and beyond. If you want to grow, we'll build the path with you.

Genuine benefits

50% off childcare for your own children, paid staff meetings, and no unpaid overtime; if we ask you to stay, we pay for it.

Curiosity & Reggio Emilia inspired

Natural, calm rooms; real materials over plastic; long uninterrupted play; adults who slow down and observe. Our rooms draw on both the Curiosity Approach and Reggio Emilia; if those words describe how you want to work, you'll fit right in.

Safeguarding is non-negotiable

Every one of our staff is DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained and inducted before they set foot on a room floor. Our Ofsted-registered settings run to the same rigorous standard, every day.

You'll be heard

Small enough that your ideas actually land. Regular staff meetings, an open-door leadership team, and a management style that treats early-years professionals as professionals.

How to Apply

Three Steps

We keep the process short and honest; here is exactly what happens between sending your application and starting on a room.

Step 1
Fill in the form
Open the role you're interested in and fill in the short application form on that page; it takes about a minute and you don't need a CV to hand. Tell us your qualification level, your experience and which setting suits you, and we'll take it from there.
Step 2
Chat with us
If your application looks like a fit, we'll invite you in for an informal chat and a walk around the setting you'd be working at. You get to see us; we get to meet you.
Step 3
Trial session and offer
A trial session in the setting, followed by references, DBS and safeguarding checks. Once cleared, a full induction into your role and the team.
